We are a Manchester based cycling club with a proud history. We have regular rides and members competing in road races, time trials, cyclo-cross and on the track. We are a friendly club and we welcome anyone new to the sport that wants to cycle for training, racing or simply for the joy of riding. You can find out about our rides, events and how to join on this site and below you can find all of the latest news within the club. If there is anything else you need, then please contact us.
Thanks to everyone who raced, organized, marshalled, photographed, trophy built, spectated, pizza’d and coffee’d at our little early Hill Climb season event. We love putting this on and hope you all enjoyed it too!
A few special mentions to Kickback Coffee and Tommy’s Pizza for the generous use of their premises and culinary expertise these last couple of years. To Alan Gibworth for the amazing photos, year after year, and to our very own Holly for making the most sought after trophies around!
Congrats to the winners!

Club Hill Climb Champion
As well as taking 1st placed Male Junior, Jacob, as first Wheeler also wins the Club Hill Climb Championship for the second year running. Congrats Jacob! He will be awarded the club trophy at our annual awards dinner at the end of the year.
Thursday 31st August. You, a bike, a big old hill, coffee and pizza? How does that sound? Pretty good right?
Yes, it’s nearly time once again for our annual hill climb on the Brickworks. As usual, sign on from 6pm – 6:45pm at Pott Shrigley Village Hall car park (no entries after 6:45 sorry!) Entry is £5.
Prizes for the winners + Kickback Coffee will be open for the duration and Tommy’s Pizza will be there too providing us with the all important Pizza!
This time we will do the prize giving at Kickback, rather than at the Village Hall so just go straight there after your ride and cheer on the other riders with a slab of Pepperoni. And if you don’t fancy riding, casual watchers are welcome as always!
This years club hill climb on the Brickworks was another hotly contended one with plenty of fast times. The overall win was taken by Ashley Wilcox of CCC, in a blisteringly fast 6:12 with Alison Dockney (Macclesfield Wheelers) taking first in the womens. In the junior categories the honours went to our own Jacob Bradbury and Lucy Carter.
This event is used to decide the club hill climb champions for the year, and this year that accolade goes to Jacob Bradbury for the men. Jacob has gone from strength to strength this year, achieving a number of strong results in hill climbs and was delighted to achieve his sub 7 minute target. The womens trophy goes to mother and daughter combo Holly & Lucy Carter! Holly raced the event with Lucy in a kids trailer. Chapeau to that effort!
