Club discussion / Wheelers on BBC Breakfast 15th Feb
« Last post by Dan Robinson on February 14, 2019, 06:45:41 PM »
Tune in to BBC Breakfast tomorrow to catch the story of former speedway star Ricky Ashworth. A few of our members (Jerry, Brian and Karl) have been helping him out at the track by piloting him on the Tandem after a serious injury, and should be in the piece which will air at 6:40am, 7:40 and 8:40.

A group of us are staying in the Malham yha on the 4th May and watching the Tour de Yorkshire peloton take on park rash the next day. Would be great to get a few more Wheelers involved and do club rides on the Saturday and Sunday. If you want to join us just book yourself a room. Got myself, Holly, Martin and Rob Scott going so far. Message Holly if you need any more info.

Quick note to say many thanks to Holly Carter for arranging another successful Annual Awards ceremony and dinner this year. Good food, good company: what more can you ask for? Thanks again.

Don't forget to get your tickets for Awards night this Saturday.

Also, voting is open now over on the Facebook group, for a few extra non-serious awards so head over there if you haven't already https://www.facebook.com/groups/867643973252460/

Club discussion / Winter MTB ?
« Last post by Paul G on October 16, 2018, 02:14:07 PM »
Is anyone interested in potentially having a bit of an experiment off road now the weather is turning?

CX looks fun but and plan to give that a go but I'm thinking more MTB on this tread.

Cannot claim to be much more than MTB-curious these days but happy to link with any club members who fancy a weekend trip to Gisburn or Llandegai to give it a go.

Llandegai ( One Planet ) offers bike hire if you don't have one but needs booking well in advance.

Thinking probably blue ( moderate ) to red ( difficult ) depending on who is interested.

We'll agree date,  location,  time ( earlier is better ) so it doesn't eat the whole day.

Get in touch as the diary tends to fill up.
