In case anyone missed it first time round - here are the original details Charles posted on the old forum.

The date for everyone's favourite club event has been confirmed as Thursday the 8th June. As per previous years, we will be hosting round 2 of the Midweek Mountain bike Madness series at Kenworthy Woods, Chorlton Water Park that has become one of the most popular events in the series, attracting 100+ riders.

For the last two years we have added a Go-Ride event for under 16's, which Scott Wilson is going to be organising again this year. This event is for Under 16's and is a great introduction to cycle sport. So if you know of any budding young bike riders, please let them know about the event. The key thing that we're trying to get across is that this will be a fun event and is for both complete novices and experienced young riders.

In order for this event to carry on being a success we do require a number of helpers for both the main race and the Go-Ride event. Obviously we understand that as is it a week day/night and some people may struggle due to work and commitments at home. However, it would be great if we could get a good turnout to make light work of what is a genuinely nice evening.

Please find a description of roles and the approximate timings at which things will kick off below. I would be grateful for any help people can give and would be especially grateful if anyone can get down for early afternoon to help with the course set up etc. The ideal of course would be that we had enough people helping out so that members who want to race, can do.
Approximate Timings:
Course setup: 2pm - 4pm
Sign On: 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Go-Ride: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Main event: 7:15pm - 8:15pm
Presentation: 8:30pm

Job Descriptions
Go-Ride: Helpers required.
Course layout Designers: Building 2 x courses with tape attaching to sticks and trees.
Sign on: Front of house/gazebo
Marshals x 12+: The creme de la creme of jobs; this role comes with benefits (day glow jacket and walkie talkie) duties include keeping rabbits off the course and pointing directions.
Judging Team: Good eyesight and good hearing with calm manner under pressure. This role includes calling out random numbers as you see them or writing down the random numbers which are being called out. Produce a final list of random numbers. Similar skills required to that needed for Bingo.
Clean up team: Crack team of cleaners to swipe the course and remove any tracks or evidence of us ever being there.

We can store some of it in our shed - happy for people to come grab as they need and we'll bring some to the 10s when we're riding. Maybe we could do some as a prize each week for the fastest rider?

I'll send you a message on the weekend Jason to sort something out.

If you're reading this you've successfully made it to our new forum - hello!

Over the next few days we will be transferring the remaining key content from the old website/forum over to here (results, documents and recent active forum topics). In the meantime though, please get registered on the new board and take a look around the new website. If you come across a broken link or there is a feature missing you want to see, please let us know.

As with our old forum, we'd ask that you register with your real name so your fellow club members know who you are. Your registration will require approval so please bear with us if there is a delay in approval - we'll try to process these quickly.

Cheers,
Gavin
