Club events & results / Midweek Mtb Madness 2018
« on: May 11, 2018, 11:08:01 AM »
The Club is hosting round three of the midweek mtb madness series at Chorlton Water Park on Wednesday June 13th.

I'll need at least 12 helpers to help make this a successful event. Please could you let me know if you can make it down?

Marshall briefing will be at 18:30 ahead of thee race startign at 19:15. However, I will need a couple of people to come down earlier to help set up and to marshal teh go-ride coaching session which starts at 18:00.

If you have any specific cake or fizzy drink requirements, please let me know and I'll try to accommodate!

Race details are avaialable here https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/175588/Midweek-MTB-Madness-2018---Chorlton-Water-Park

Cheers

I thought I'd start a thread for these rides. to provide a bit more info.

Where  - Coffee Fix in Gatley
When - Every Thursday, setting of at 18:30
What - Fast training rides. Routes vary each week and are generally agreed at the meet rather than pre-planned. Feel free to turn up with ideas (but do not suggest Mow Cop!). These will be at least 60km long and have been known to be up to 80km with 1000m plus of climbing. The aim is to be done for around 21:00. Although the pace is often a bit anti-social, we will stop and re-group at the top of any climbs.
Why - Because you know you should do structured training but prefer to just chase people up hills!

Club events & results / Midweek Mountain Bike Madness Round 2
« on: May 01, 2017, 10:22:36 AM »
Dear all,
The Manchester Wheelers are hosting round 2 of the Midweek Mountain Bike Madness series again this year on June 8th at Kenworthy Woods (just across the Mersey from Chorlton Water Park).

This is a big event with well over  riders last year and I need lots of help to ensure its a success again this year.

If you are free, please go to the link below and sign up for a role so I have a rough idea of who will be helping and when. Feel free to sign up for more than one role if you can! I'd be particularly grateful to anyone who can get down nice and early (2pm onwards) to help set things up.

Many thanks

Charles
